Looking for a Job in Information Technology?


Are you [or is someone you know] looking for a job in Information Technology?
Do you need training and Certification?
Do you know that you may be eligible for a free innovative Information Technology Training Program at
San Diego Futures Foundation.

For Adults, training includes A+, N+, or MCITP Windows 7 Support Technician.
For Young Adults, training includes IT Technician, or Media Arts pathways.


Are there jobs to be had?
The Bureau of Labor Statistics
reports the job prospects should be "favorable" and are "expected to grow 18 percent from 2010 to 2020”.
How?
There are many paths to become an IT Support Specialist, for example, SDFF’s Adult and Young Adult Technology Training programs.



Adults:
Receive technology-based learning, leading to the attainment of industry-standard certifications, paid and unpaid internships following certification, and job placement support.
Who should apply? If you are 18+ years old, have been out of work for 6 months or more, have some prior work experience in IT or a related field, and have some post-secondary education (some college, trade school, military, etc.)

Young Adults:
Receive training towards technology occupations and receive a variety of services including classroom and web-based training, industry recognized Certification, career exploration opportunities including internships, and job preparation and placement.  


·         IT Technician Pathway: Entry level IT networking, computer maintenance and troubleshooting

·         Media Arts Pathway: Video production, web development, graphic design and social media in partnership with +Media Arts Center , and +Fab Lab San Diego
